This policy explains how SafeServe — operated by Tiaki Senior, a sole trader in Nelson, New Zealand — collects, uses and protects personal information. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use your records for advertising.

About your staff’s information. When you record staff details, you (the café) are responsible for handling that information fairly and telling your staff it’s being kept for food-safety purposes. SafeServe stores and processes it on your behalf so you can meet your record-keeping duties.

We only share information with the providers we need to run the service, and only as far as needed:

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email [email protected] and we’ll help. If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

SafeServe uses only the minimal storage needed to keep you logged in and make the app work. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

7Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a significant change we’ll let you know by email or in the app. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
